Drive torque high or overload trips
The drive is running near its torque limit or tripping on overload. High torque protects the machine but stops dewatering, so the cause — usually a too-dense plug, blinding or wear — must be found quickly.

Causes and corrective actions

| Back pressure too high | Reduce back pressure to lower the plug resistance. |
| Feed rate above capacity | Reduce feed to within rated loading. |
| Screen blinding increasing drag | Deep clean the screen. |
| Foreign object or hard debris jammed | Stop, isolate and remove the obstruction; improve upstream screening. |
