Poor Solids Capture
Too little of the incoming solids ends up in the cake
Solids-capture rate — the fraction of incoming dry solids retained in the cake — is below target. Poor capture wastes polymer, loads the filtrate return and reduces the effective throughput of solids the plant can process.
