Wash Water System
Intermittent spray rinsing keeps the screen clear
Supplementary Cleaning
Although the moving rings provide continuous mechanical self-cleaning, a spray wash system periodically rinses the screen to remove any residual fine solids. Wash cycles are typically short and intermittent rather than continuous.
Because of the self-cleaning ring design, wash water consumption is very low — roughly 24–320 L/h depending on model — a fraction of the continuous belt-wash demand of belt filter presses.
Advantages
- Intermittent, not continuous — low water use
- 24–320 L/h depending on RF model
- Can use plant service water or treated effluent
