Three-screw stainless steel screw press for sludge dewatering in an industrial hall
Components

Sludge Inlet

The feed connection into the thickening zone

Feeding the Press

The sludge inlet delivers conditioned, flocculated sludge into the first (thickening) zone of the screw press. A steady, controlled feed rate is essential for stable dewatering performance and consistent cake quality. Feed is usually supplied by a progressive cavity pump whose speed is coordinated with the screw and polymer dosing. Over-feeding floods the machine; under-feeding wastes capacity.

Key Points

  • Steady feed rate for stable operation
  • Fed by a progressive cavity or similar low-shear pump
  • Coordinated with polymer dosing and screw speed
