The Ring Stack
The screen basket is the complete cylindrical assembly of fixed and moving rings, tie rods, and spacers that surrounds the rotating screw. It forms the filtration chamber where dewatering takes place.
The basket is divided into a thickening zone (larger gaps, gravity drainage) and a dewatering zone (progressive pressure). Its robust construction withstands the axial pressure generated at the discharge end.
