Fixed Rings
The stationary rings that define the filtration gaps
Role of the Fixed Rings
Fixed rings are held stationary by tie rods in the screen basket. Alternating with the moving rings, they create the precise gaps through which filtrate escapes. Their spacing determines the effective filtration opening.
Because the moving rings slide past them continuously, the fixed rings never accumulate a filter cake — this is the mechanical basis of the self-cleaning principle.
Characteristics
- Precisely spaced to set the filtration gap
- Wear-resistant stainless steel or engineered polymer
- Individually replaceable during service
