Service & Preventive Maintenance
A simple schedule that keeps the press reliable
Preventive maintenance on a screw press is light: routine inspections, lubrication, wash-system checks and periodic screen and wear assessment. A structured schedule prevents the small issues that would otherwise reduce cake quality over time.
Maintenance schedule
| Interval | Typical tasks |
|---|---|
| Daily | Check filtrate clarity, cake quality, alarms and polymer supply. |
| Weekly | Inspect wash nozzles, check for leaks, verify wash cycle operation. |
| Monthly | Lubricate per schedule, check drive and screw torque trend. |
| Annually | Assess screen and ring wear, seals and bearings; deep clean. |
Condition-based indicators
Trends tell you more than the calendar. A slow rise in screw torque, a gradual fall in cake solids or a climbing wash-water demand all signal developing wear or blinding before they become failures. Logging these few values turns maintenance from reactive to planned, and keeps the press producing consistent cake.
