Process Flow
The step-by-step flow through the dewatering system
Process Flow Steps
- 1Sludge feed
Sludge is pumped from the buffer tank at a controlled rate
- 2Polymer dosing
Flocculant is dosed proportionally to the solids load
- 3Flocculation
Sludge and polymer mix gently to form flocs
- 4Thickening
Free water drains by gravity in the first zone
- 5Pressure dewatering
Compression squeezes bound water through the screen
- 6Cake discharge & filtrate return
Cake is discharged; filtrate returns to the plant
