Dewatering Metal Hydroxide Sludge
Electroplating and metal finishing lines neutralise acidic rinse waters, precipitating heavy metals as a dense hydroxide sludge that must be dewatered before hazardous-waste disposal. The screw press produces a high-solids cake that lowers disposal mass and cost.
Fine hydroxide particles blind conventional screens, but the self-cleaning ring stack keeps drainage open, and hardened components resist the abrasive mineral solids.
