Dewatering Automotive Sludge
Automotive plants generate diverse sludges — paint-shop coagulation sludge, phosphating hydroxides and metal-working emulsion residues — treated in physical-chemical plants. The screw press dewaters these mixed chemical sludges to a firm cake, cutting hazardous-waste volume and cost.
Enclosed operation contains solvent odour from paint-shop streams, and the self-cleaning screen copes with the fine, sticky solids that blind other dewatering equipment.
